On Friday 25th September, the team at Thompson & Richardson took part in Ardonagh Community Trust’s charity event, Go Green Day. On this day, the people across Ardonagh took part in fundraising activities across the country to raise funds for their chosen charity. Whatever was raised by each office, was matched by the generosity of Ardonagh.
Our chosen charity
Across the T&R group, each of our offices took part in a different fundraising activity to raise funds for The Lincolnshire And Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust. This crucial charity saves lives every single day and is on-hand 365 days of the year. They have continued to operate throughout the pandemic but are struggling to continue without the support of ongoing public donations. To find out more about the great work they do, you can visit their website here.
What we got up to
Our Boston Office threw themselves full-throttle into the true spirit of the day by wearing green. Christmas came a little early as Laura wore her Santa t-shirt and Chris showed off his green pants. The team in Sleaford had some green cupcakes which, despite all appearances, went down very well! In our Lincoln Office, people dug out their wellies and Amanda’s dinosaur made an appearance. Over at Scunthorpe, the Johnstone team took part in a ‘Guess the Baby Quiz’ and Chris dyed his beard green to mark the occasion.
We had a fantastic time taking part in Go Green Day, while raising money for a truly worthy cause. We’re pleased to confirm that we raised a whopping £1,107.13 for The Lincolnshire And Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust. The response across Ardonagh was fantastic and overall, the day raised £115,000 for different charities.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who took part during the day and to all those who donated, your generosity will go an incredibly long way toward supporting the lifesaving efforts of one of the UK’s leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities.
